King Sigurd II
King Sigurd II was a Norwegian king who ruled from 1136 to 1155. He was a member of the House of Knýtlinga and the son of King Sigurd I. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and struggles for power among the nobility, which led to a fragmented kingdom.
During his rule, Sigurd II faced challenges from rival factions, including his half-brother Eystein II. Despite these challenges, he is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the monarchy and maintain control over Norway. His reign ended when he was killed in battle, leading to further instability in the region.
