King Rama VI
King Rama VI, also known as King Vajiravudh, ruled Thailand from 1910 to 1925. He was the first Thai monarch to be educated in the West, which influenced his modernizing policies. His reign saw significant cultural and social changes, including the promotion of Thai nationalism and the establishment of the Wild Tiger Corps, a volunteer military group.
During his time, King Rama VI also focused on education and the arts, encouraging the development of Thai literature and theater. He introduced the Thai National Anthem and emphasized the importance of a unified national identity, leaving a lasting impact on Thailand's cultural landscape.
