King James III
King James III is a historical figure who is often associated with the Jacobite movement in Britain. He was born in 1451 and was the son of King James II of Scotland. After his father's defeat and exile, he claimed the Scottish throne, although he never ruled effectively. His reign was marked by political instability and conflict.
Despite his claims, King James III faced challenges from rival factions and was ultimately unable to secure his position. He died in 1488 during a battle against forces loyal to James IV, his son, who succeeded him. His legacy is intertwined with the struggles for Scottish independence.
