King Hezekiah
King Hezekiah was a ruler of the ancient Kingdom of Judah, reigning from around 715 to 686 BCE. He is known for his religious reforms, which included removing idols and restoring the worship of Yahweh, the God of Israel. Hezekiah also fortified Jerusalem and built a tunnel to bring water into the city, enhancing its defenses against enemies.
During his reign, Hezekiah faced threats from the powerful Assyrian Empire. He sought help from the prophet Isaiah, who assured him of divine protection. Hezekiah's faith and leadership are often highlighted in the biblical accounts, particularly in the books of 2 Kings and Isaiah.
