King Ahaziah
King Ahaziah was a ruler of the ancient kingdom of Israel, known for his brief reign around 841 BCE. He was the son of Ahab and Jezebel, two prominent figures in the history of Israel. Ahaziah's rule was marked by his alliance with the kingdom of Judah and his continued worship of Baal, which was a significant departure from the worship of the God of Israel.
His reign lasted only about one year before he was injured in a fall and later died from his wounds. Ahaziah's death led to the rise of Jehu, who would go on to eliminate the house of Ahab and bring significant changes to the kingdom of Israel.
