King Ahab
King Ahab was a ruler of the ancient kingdom of Israel during the 9th century BCE. He is known for his marriage to Jezebel, a Phoenician princess, which led to the promotion of Baal worship in Israel. Ahab's reign is often characterized by conflicts with the prophet Elijah, who opposed the worship of false gods.
Ahab is also remembered for his military campaigns, particularly against Aram (Syria). His leadership faced criticism for straying from the worship of Yahweh, the God of Israel. Ahab's story is detailed in the biblical books of 1 Kings and 2 Kings.
