Khazraj
The Khazraj was one of the two main tribes of the Aws and Khazraj in the city of Medina during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. They were originally from the southern Arabian Peninsula and played a significant role in the early Islamic community. The Khazraj tribe, along with the Aws, welcomed Muhammad and his followers when they migrated from Mecca to Medina in 622 CE, an event known as the Hijra.
The Khazraj tribe was known for its strong sense of unity and loyalty. They participated in key events in early Islamic history, including the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud. Their support was crucial in establishing the Muslim community in Medina and spreading Islam throughout the region.
