Khalid Khannouchi
Khalid Khannouchi is a Moroccan-American long-distance runner, best known for his achievements in marathon racing. Born on April 22, 1972, in Fes, Morocco, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1995. Khannouchi gained fame for setting multiple world records in the marathon during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
His most notable accomplishment came in 1999 when he set the world record for the marathon with a time of 2:05:38 at the Chicago Marathon.
