Kenneth I of Scotland
Kenneth I of Scotland, also known as Kenneth MacAlpin, was a significant figure in early Scottish history. He is traditionally regarded as the first King of Scots, ruling from around 843 until his death in 858. Kenneth united the Picts and Scots, establishing a foundation for the Kingdom of Scotland.
His reign marked the beginning of the House of Alpin, a dynasty that would influence Scottish leadership for centuries. Kenneth's efforts in consolidating power helped to shape the political landscape of the region, paving the way for future monarchs and the eventual formation of a unified Scottish kingdom.
