Kazakh National Movement
The Kazakh National Movement refers to a series of political and cultural efforts aimed at promoting the rights and identity of the Kazakh people. Emerging in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this movement sought to address issues such as land rights, education, and cultural preservation, particularly in response to Russian imperial policies.
During the Soviet era, the movement continued to evolve, advocating for greater autonomy and recognition of Kazakh culture. Key figures, such as Akhmet Baitursynuly and Alikhan Bokeikhanov, played significant roles in these efforts, ultimately contributing to Kazakhstan's independence in 1991.
