Kayan People
The Kayan People are an ethnic group primarily found in Myanmar and Thailand. They are known for their unique cultural practices, including the tradition of wearing brass coils around the neck, which is believed to elongate the neck over time. This practice is often associated with the Kayan Lahwi subgroup, also known as the Long Neck women.
The Kayan People have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and crafts. Many Kayan communities are involved in agriculture, growing crops such as rice and vegetables. In recent years, tourism has increased in the region, leading to both opportunities and challenges for the preservation of their culture.
