Kayan
The term "Kayan" refers to an ethnic group primarily found in Myanmar and Thailand. They are known for their unique cultural practices, including the tradition of wearing brass coils around the neck, which is believed to elongate the neck over time. This practice is often associated with the Kayan Lahwi subgroup, also known as the Long Neck women.
In addition to their distinctive appearance, the Kayan people have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and crafts. Many Kayan individuals are involved in weaving and other artisanal activities, which contribute to their economy and help preserve their cultural identity in a rapidly changing world.
