Kasubi Tombs
The Kasubi Tombs are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Kampala, Uganda. They serve as the burial grounds for the kings of the Buganda Kingdom and are an important cultural site for the Baganda people. The tombs are notable for their unique architecture, featuring traditional grass-thatched roofs and a circular design.
Constructed in the late 19th century, the tombs house the remains of four kings, including Mutesa I and Mwanga II. The site is also a center for cultural ceremonies and rituals, reflecting the rich history and traditions of the Buganda Kingdom.
