Kanmon Bridge
The Kanmon Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects the islands of Honshu and Kyushu in Japan. Completed in 1973, it spans approximately 1,068 meters (3,504 feet) across the Kanmon Straits, allowing vehicles and pedestrians to travel between the two islands.
The bridge is an important part of the Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu transportation network. It features a distinctive design with two tall towers and is illuminated at night, making it a popular sight for both locals and tourists. The Kanmon Bridge is also a symbol of the region's connectivity and economic development.
