Kampot Pepper Plantations
Kampot Pepper Plantations are located in the Kampot province of Cambodia, known for producing high-quality pepper. The region's unique climate and soil conditions contribute to the distinct flavor of its pepper, which is often regarded as some of the best in the world. The plantations primarily grow three varieties: black, white, and green pepper.
These plantations have a long history, dating back to the French colonial period when they were first established. Today, many farms are certified organic, promoting sustainable farming practices. Kampot pepper is recognized by the European Union as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), ensuring its authenticity and quality.
