Kallikrates
Kallikrates was an ancient Greek architect known for his work on the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena on the Acropolis of Athens. He collaborated with the renowned sculptor Phidias and played a significant role in the design and construction of this iconic structure during the 5th century BCE.
In addition to the Parthenon, Kallikrates is credited with designing the Temple of Athena Nike, a smaller temple located on the Acropolis. This temple is celebrated for its elegant proportions and intricate relief sculptures, showcasing the artistic achievements of classical Greek architecture.
