Kakori kebabs
Kakori kebabs are a type of Indian kebab originating from the city of Kakori near Lucknow. Made from finely minced meat, usually lamb or beef, they are seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs. The mixture is shaped onto skewers and grilled or cooked over an open flame, resulting in a tender and flavorful dish.
These kebabs are known for their melt-in-the-mouth texture, achieved by using a unique grinding technique that incorporates fat and spices. Traditionally served with mint chutney and onion rings, Kakori kebabs are a popular choice in Awadhi cuisine and are often enjoyed at special occasions and celebrations.
