Köprülü era
The Köprülü era refers to a significant period in the history of the Ottoman Empire during the 17th century, marked by the leadership of the Köprülü family. This era began with Köprülü Mehmed Pasha, who served as the Grand Vizier from 1656 to 1661. His reforms aimed to restore the empire's strength and improve administration, military efficiency, and financial stability.
Following Mehmed Pasha, his son, Köprülü Ahmed Pasha, continued these reforms, further consolidating power and expanding the empire's territories. The Köprülü era is often seen as a time of revitalization for the Ottoman Empire, leading to military successes and a more centralized government.
