Judith of Bavaria
Judith of Bavaria was a notable figure in the early medieval period, born around 843. She was the daughter of Louis the German, a king of the East Franks, and became the second wife of Charles the Bald, a king of the West Franks. Judith played a significant role in the political landscape of her time, particularly through her marriage, which aimed to strengthen alliances between the two kingdoms.
Judith is often remembered for her influence in the succession of her children. She bore Charles the Bald several children, including Louis the Stammerer, who would later become king. Her life reflects the complexities of royal marriages and the importance of lineage in medieval Europe.
