Louis the German
Louis the German was a king of the East Franks, born around 804 and died in 876. He was the son of Louis the Pious and a grandson of Charlemagne. After the division of the Carolingian Empire, he ruled over the eastern part, which included modern-day Germany and parts of Italy.
Louis played a significant role in the political landscape of his time, often engaging in conflicts with his brothers for control over their father's empire. He is known for his efforts to strengthen his kingdom and maintain stability, contributing to the development of the Holy Roman Empire.
