Louis the Stammerer
Louis the Stammerer was a king of the Franks who ruled from 877 to 879. He was the son of Charles the Bald and became king after his father's death. Louis was known for his speech impediment, which earned him the nickname "the Stammerer." Despite this challenge, he was recognized for his efforts to maintain peace and stability in his kingdom.
His reign was short-lived, lasting only two years, as he died in 879. Louis's rule was marked by internal conflicts and struggles for power among the Frankish nobility. After his death, his kingdom was divided among his sons, leading to further fragmentation of the Frankish realm.
