Judicial Yuan
The Judicial Yuan is one of the five branches of the government in Taiwan, responsible for interpreting laws and ensuring justice. It oversees the country's judicial system, including the Supreme Court and lower courts, and has the authority to review the constitutionality of laws and regulations.
Established in 1949, the Judicial Yuan plays a crucial role in maintaining the rule of law in Taiwan. It consists of a President and several other justices who are appointed by the President of Taiwan and confirmed by the Legislative Yuan. This structure helps to uphold an independent judiciary.
