Judicial System of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Judicial System of Bosnia and Herzegovina operates under a complex framework established by the Dayton Agreement. It consists of both state-level and entity-level courts, including the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which handles serious criminal cases and constitutional matters, and the entity courts that deal with local issues.
The system is divided into two entities: Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, each having its own judiciary. Additionally, there are Brčko District courts that serve the multi-ethnic population in that area. The judiciary aims to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law across the country.
