Jude the Apostle
Jude the Apostle, also known as Jude Thaddeus, was one of the twelve original disciples of Jesus Christ. He is often identified as the author of the Book of Jude in the New Testament, which addresses issues of false teachings and encourages believers to remain faithful. Jude is traditionally depicted as a patron saint of lost causes.
In Christian tradition, Jude is sometimes confused with Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus. To avoid this confusion, he is often referred to as Jude or Thaddeus. His feast day is celebrated on October 28 in the Western Christian calendar, and he is venerated in various Christian denominations.
