Joseon Korea
Joseon Korea was a dynastic kingdom that ruled the Korean Peninsula from 1392 to 1910. Founded by Yi Seong-gye, it is known for its Confucian-based governance, which emphasized education, social hierarchy, and family values. The dynasty saw significant cultural and technological advancements, including the creation of the Korean script, Hangul, by King Sejong in the 15th century.
During the Joseon period, Korea experienced both internal and external challenges, including invasions such as the Imjin War against Japan in the late 16th century. The dynasty eventually fell under Japanese colonial rule in 1910, marking the end of over five centuries of Joseon influence on Korean society and culture.
