John Stuart
John Stuart was a British philosopher and political economist, best known for his contributions to liberal thought and utilitarianism. Born in 1806, he was the son of the philosopher James Mill and was heavily influenced by his father's ideas. Stuart's most notable works include On Liberty and The Subjection of Women, where he argued for individual freedom and gender equality.
In addition to his philosophical writings, John Stuart was also a Member of Parliament. He advocated for social reforms, including education and labor rights.
