Joachim of Fiore
Joachim of Fiore was a 12th-century Italian theologian and mystic known for his unique interpretation of Christian eschatology. He proposed a tripartite view of history, dividing it into three ages: the Age of the Father, the Age of the Son, and the Age of the Holy Spirit. His ideas emphasized a future spiritual renewal and the eventual establishment of a new order of peace and harmony.
Joachim's writings, particularly the "Liber Concordiae," influenced various religious movements and thinkers, including the Franciscans and Protestant Reformation. His concepts of history and spirituality continue to be studied for their impact on medieval thought and beyond.
