Jinju Castle
Jinju Castle is a historic fortress located in Jinju, South Korea. Built in the late 16th century, it played a significant role during the Imjin War, also known as the Japanese invasions of Korea from 1592 to 1598. The castle features impressive stone walls and various structures, showcasing traditional Korean architecture.
Today, Jinju Castle is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors beautiful views of the surrounding area and the Namgang River. The site also hosts the annual Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, where lanterns are floated on the river, celebrating the castle's rich history and cultural significance.
