Jimmy Burke
Jimmy Burke, also known as "Jimmy the Gent," was an American mobster associated with the Lucchese crime family. Born in 1931, he became notorious for his involvement in organized crime during the 1960s and 1970s. Burke was known for his role in various illegal activities, including extortion, loan sharking, and robbery.
One of Burke's most infamous crimes was his involvement in the Lufthansa heist in 1978, which resulted in the theft of millions of dollars from a cargo building at John F. Kennedy International Airport. His life and criminal activities were later depicted in the film Goodfellas, where he was portrayed by actor Ray Liotta.
