Jim Crockett Promotions
Jim Crockett Promotions was a professional wrestling promotion based in the United States, founded by Jim Crockett Sr. in the 1930s. It became one of the most prominent wrestling promotions in the 1980s, known for its regional shows and talent roster, which included famous wrestlers like Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes.
The promotion was a key player in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and helped popularize wrestling in the southeastern United States. In 1988, it was sold to Ted Turner and eventually became part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), marking the end of its independent operations.
