World Championship Wrestling
World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was a professional wrestling promotion based in the United States, founded in 1988. It became one of the largest wrestling organizations in the world during the 1990s, known for its high-profile events and popular wrestlers. WCW was famous for its weekly television shows, including Monday Nitro, which often competed directly with WWE’s Monday Night Raw.
The promotion featured iconic wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Goldberg. WCW was recognized for its innovative storylines and the introduction of the nWo (New World Order) faction, which significantly influenced the wrestling industry. The company was eventually purchased by WWE in 2001.
