Jezidi People
The Jezidi people are an ethnic and religious minority primarily found in northern Iraq. They follow a unique faith that blends elements of Zoroastrianism, Islam, and other ancient beliefs. The community has faced significant persecution throughout history, particularly from extremist groups.
Jezidis believe in one God and revere seven angels, with Malak Taus being the most prominent. Their sacred texts include the Book of Revelation and the Black Book. The community has a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and festivals, which play a vital role in their identity and resilience.
