Jezidi
The Jezidi are a religious and ethnic group primarily found in northern Iraq, particularly in the Sinjar region. They follow a unique faith that incorporates elements from various religions, including Zoroastrianism, Islam, and Christianity. The Jezidi community has a distinct culture, language, and set of traditions, with their own sacred texts and places of worship.
Historically, the Jezidi have faced persecution, particularly during the ISIS attacks in 2014, which led to significant loss of life and displacement. Despite these challenges, the Jezidi people continue to strive for recognition and the preservation of their cultural identity in the face of adversity.
