Jewish Ethnicities
Jewish ethnicities refer to the diverse cultural and ethnic groups within the Jewish community, each with unique traditions, languages, and histories. Major groups include Ashkenazi Jews, primarily from Central and Eastern Europe; Sephardi Jews, originating from the Iberian Peninsula; and Mizrahi Jews, who come from Middle Eastern and North African countries.
These ethnicities have distinct customs, foods, and languages, such as Yiddish for Ashkenazi Jews and Ladino for Sephardi Jews. Despite their differences, all Jewish ethnicities share a common religious heritage and cultural identity rooted in Judaism.
