Jernbaneverket
Jernbaneverket was the Norwegian National Rail Administration, responsible for the management and maintenance of the country's railway infrastructure. Established in 1996, it oversaw the tracks, stations, and signaling systems, ensuring safe and efficient train operations across Norway.
In 2017, Jernbaneverket was reorganized and became part of Bane NOR, a new state-owned company. This change aimed to improve the efficiency and quality of railway services in Norway, focusing on modernization and better integration of rail transport within the broader transportation network.
