Javed Miandad
Javed Miandad is a former Pakistani cricketer, widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. Born on July 12, 1957, in Karachi, he made his international debut in 1975 and played for the Pakistan national cricket team until 1996. Miandad is known for his exceptional batting skills, particularly in pressure situations, and holds the record for the most runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Pakistan.
Throughout his career, Miandad played in six Cricket World Cups and was instrumental in leading Pakistan to victory in the 1992 World Cup. He is also famous for his iconic last-ball six against India in a 1986 Sharjah match, which remains one of the most memorable moments in cricket history. After retiring, Miandad served as a coach and selector, contributing to the development of cricket in Pakistan.
