James II of Majorca
James II of Majorca was a king who ruled from 1276 to 1311. He was the son of James I of Aragon and became the first king of the Kingdom of Majorca, which included the islands of Majorca, Menorca, and Ibiza. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen his kingdom and maintain its independence from the Crown of Aragon.
During his rule, James II faced challenges from both internal factions and external threats. He worked to establish a stable government and promote trade and culture in his realm. His legacy includes the development of Majorca as an important Mediterranean center during the late Middle Ages.
