James "Whitey" Bulger
James "Whitey" Bulger was an infamous American mobster who led the Winter Hill Gang in Boston during the 1970s and 1980s. He was involved in various criminal activities, including extortion, racketeering, and drug trafficking. Bulger was known for his violent methods and was a key figure in organized crime in the region.
In 1994, Bulger fled Boston after being tipped off about an impending indictment. He became one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and remained on the run for 16 years. He was eventually captured in 2011 in Santa Monica, California, and in 2013, he was convicted of multiple crimes, including murder.
