Jahanara Begum
Jahanara Begum was the eldest daughter of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Born in 1614, she played a significant role in the Mughal court and was known for her intelligence, beauty, and artistic talents. Jahanara was a patron of the arts and contributed to the cultural life of her time.
She was also influential in politics, often acting as a mediator in court affairs. After her mother’s death, Jahanara became very close to her father, supporting him during his reign. She is remembered for her contributions to architecture, including the Jahanara Mosque in Delhi.
