Izumo-Class
The Izumo-Class is a class of helicopter destroyers operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. These ships are designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare and can also support various missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. The class features a flight deck that can accommodate multiple helicopters, enhancing its operational capabilities.
The first ship of the class, JS Izumo, was commissioned in 2015, followed by the JS Kaga in 2017.
