Iván Duque
Iván Duque is a Colombian politician and economist who served as the President of Colombia from August 2018 to August 2022. He is a member of the Democratic Center Party, which was founded by former President Álvaro Uribe. Duque was born on August 1, 1976, in Bogotá, Colombia, and studied economics and international relations at Harvard University.
During his presidency, Duque focused on issues such as security, drug trafficking, and economic growth. He faced challenges, including protests against his government and the ongoing violence from armed groups. Duque's administration also worked on implementing the peace agreement with the FARC guerrilla group, which aimed to end decades of conflict in Colombia.
