Islamist militants
Islamist militants are individuals or groups that use violence to achieve political or religious goals based on their interpretation of Islam. They often believe in establishing a society governed by their understanding of Sharia, or Islamic law. These militants may operate independently or as part of larger organizations, such as Al-Qaeda or ISIS.
These groups can be found in various regions, including the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of South Asia. Their actions often lead to significant conflict and instability, affecting local populations and international relations. Many governments and organizations work to counter the influence and activities of Islamist militants.
