Isaac II Angelos
Isaac II Angelos was a Byzantine Emperor who ruled from 1185 to 1195 and again in 1203 to 1204. He was part of the Angelos dynasty and came to power after a coup that deposed his predecessor, Andronikos I Komnenos. His reign was marked by military challenges and internal strife, including conflicts with the Normans and the Crusaders.
In 1195, Isaac II was overthrown by his brother, Alexios III Angelos, but he regained the throne with the help of the Fourth Crusade in 1203. His second reign was short-lived, as he was deposed again in 1204 during the sack of Constantinople.
