Andronikos I Komnenos
Andronikos I Komnenos was a Byzantine Emperor who ruled from 1183 to 1185. He was a member of the Komnenos dynasty and came to power after a coup that overthrew his predecessor, Alexios II Komnenos. His reign was marked by attempts to reform the empire and address social issues, but he faced significant opposition from the nobility and the populace.
His rule was characterized by brutality and conflict, leading to widespread unrest. In 1185, Andronikos was overthrown and killed by a mob, ending his short and tumultuous reign. His death marked a significant turning point in Byzantine history.
