Ipatiev Monastery
The Ipatiev Monastery is a historic Orthodox monastery located in Kostroma, Russia. Founded in the 14th century, it played a significant role in the early history of the Romanov dynasty, as it was here that the first Romanov tsar, Mikhail Romanov, was elected in 1613.
