Inniskilling Fusiliers
The Inniskilling Fusiliers was a regiment of the British Army, formed in 1881. It originated from the merging of two older regiments, the Inniskilling Dragoons and the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. The regiment was known for its distinctive uniforms and played a significant role in various conflicts, including both World Wars.
Throughout its history, the Inniskilling Fusiliers earned a reputation for bravery and discipline. The regiment was part of the Irish Brigade and was involved in numerous campaigns, serving in locations such as France, India, and the Middle East. It was eventually amalgamated into the Royal Irish Regiment in 2006.
