Inferior Nasal Concha
The inferior nasal concha is a small, curved bone located inside the nasal cavity. It is one of the three pairs of nasal conchae, which also include the superior and middle nasal conchae. The primary function of the inferior nasal concha is to help filter, warm, and humidify the air we breathe before it reaches the lungs.
This bone is situated below the middle nasal concha and is attached to the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. It plays a crucial role in the respiratory system by increasing the surface area of the nasal passages, allowing for better airflow and improved olfaction, or sense of smell.
