Infante Don Juan Manuel
Infante Don Juan Manuel (1282-1348) was a Spanish nobleman and writer, known for his contributions to medieval literature. He was the nephew of King Alfonso X of Castile and a member of the House of Ivrea. His most famous work, "El conde Lucanor," is a collection of moral tales that reflect the social and cultural values of his time.
As a military leader, Don Juan Manuel played a significant role in the Reconquista, the effort to reclaim the Iberian Peninsula from Muslim rule. He was also a skilled diplomat, engaging in various political alliances and conflicts throughout his life, which helped shape the history of Castile.
