Indochinese tiger
The Indochinese tiger is a subspecies of tiger found primarily in Southeast Asia, including countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. It is characterized by its darker coat and narrower stripes compared to other tiger subspecies. These tigers typically inhabit forests, grasslands, and mountainous regions, where they hunt for prey such as deer and wild boar.
Indochinese tigers are smaller than their Bengal counterparts, with males weighing between 400 to 500 pounds. They are solitary animals, marking their territory with scent markings and vocalizations. Due to habitat loss and poaching, the population of Indochinese tigers is declining, making them a vulnerable species.
