Indian gazelle
The Indian gazelle, also known as the chinkara, is a small antelope native to the Indian subcontinent. It typically inhabits dry grasslands, scrublands, and open forests. This species is well-adapted to arid environments, with a slender body and long legs that allow it to run swiftly to escape predators.
Indian gazelles are characterized by their light brown coat, white underbelly, and distinctive white markings on their face and legs. They are herbivorous, primarily feeding on grasses, leaves, and shoots. These animals are social and often found in small groups, which helps them stay alert to potential threats in their habitat.
